Worked on improving core navigation user flow on focusing primarily on user- generated content types as well as a personalized fan roster experience available via profile.

Ignite the power of sports culture to make moments that matter.

There’s an ever-present energy that surrounds the world of sports. It exists on courts and fields and radiates from the airwaves of TV and movies, from the beats and lyrics of music, from the diverse threads of fashion, from the roars and sobs of fans, and throughout the cultural landscape in countless ways. Through creative expression, B/R adds fuel to the fire-capturing and unleashing untapped power to deliver visceral, authentic moments at the intersection of sports and culture.

How can we streamline community navigation in order to increase engagement?

While a primary goal amidst this brand redesign was focusing on content in the core navigation flow, I honed in on expanding content types as well as both in-app and external shareability.

Aligning with business goals and available data, my overall goal was reducing transparancy to ultimately increase user retention. Through my competitive analysis of the sports journalism market I seized an opportunity to bridge a gap and truly create a personalized fan roster experience- available exclusively on Bleacher Report.

Introducing, Fan Experience 2.0

Keeping with the bold and brash energy B/R strives for, I created the ultimate fan experience with 4 new means of creating content, expanded sharing both internally via communities as well as externally via SMS, and gave a nod to the nostalgia of collecting sports cards for fans worldwide with a personalizable real-time updating roster.

Redesigned user posting flow started with "What's your Hot Take" - prompting users should share their opinions.

Engage in a truly unique fan experience enabling users to quickly access their rosters and keep up to date with the players that ultimately made them fans. Moreover aligns with BR business goals with allowing user feedback and monetization through betting links, in-app posting, and external share.

Redesigned user posting flow prompted by "What's your Hot Take" to insinuate that users should give their opinions within the app. Expanded means of post types with the addition of user-generated polls and shareable boxscore for spectators to comment on ongoing games.

B/R has a distinct bold tone as a part of their brand, inspiring me to be bold in my decision making- ultimately leading me to my focus areas. I also found myself making connecting to things I saw in my daily llife such as as pop-culture and other social media platforms which served as a great source of influence on my design decisions. Alongside considering all necessary stakeholders and finding unique ways to implement business partnerships, its important to think about what this looks like from a user perspective as well.

Some tools used include: Figma, FigJam, Mobbin, Miro,& Procreate.
